CORTIS has achieved a rare feat with their debut album, topping the monthly music charts four months after its release.
According to Circle Chart, CORTIS's debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' ranked no.1 on the December monthly album chart. The album was originally released in August last year, yet reclaimed the top spot four months after its release. Aside from this album, all other titles in the Top 5 were new releases launched in December.
Circle Chart explained, “Positive reviews from global media, heightened attention during the year-end wrap-up season, and the confident declaration embedded in the title track combined to drive this resurgence on the charts.”
The group drew significant attention following year-end broadcast and awards show performances, which translated into steady growth across album sales, streaming figures, and follower counts.
The title track “What You Want” also gained popularity as a so-called “first song of the new year,” resonating with listeners through its message of boldly claiming what one desires without hesitation.
Meanwhile, CORTIS is set to attend the 40th Golden Disc Awards, which will take place on January 10 at the Taipei Dome.
