Rookie girl group USPEER officially parted ways with their agency just six months after debut.
On January 6, WM Entertainment announced the end of its exclusive contract with USPEER, stating that the agreement concluded as of December 31 last year.
The agency explained that the decision was reached through mutual discussion, adding that it prioritized the team’s long-term growth and future potential over the company’s immediate interests. WM Entertainment also shared that, after extensive talks with former CEO Lee Won Min, who was responsible for USPEER’s production, the company was able to smoothly finalize discussions regarding the exclusive contract and trademark rights.
USPEER is expected to continue their activities alongside Lee Won Min, who previously stepped down from his position as WM Entertainment’s CEO due to management difficulties. A representative stated that both parties will maintain close cooperation and provide full support so the members can continue their activities without disruption. The statement added that the company sincerely supports USPEER as they grow as artists and asked fans to continue showing warm encouragement and interest.
USPEER previously gained attention as the junior group of Oh My Girl. Their team name reflects the meaning of understanding the essence of the world and creating a better future, highlighting their aspirations as a next generation girl group.
