New information has surfaced to suggest that Park Na Rae's former manager 'A' may not have told the complete truth about their earnings and insurance options while employed under the comedian.
On January 8 KST, the cyber wrecker YouTuber Lee Jin Ho revealed alleged new information in the ongoing dispute between Park Na Rae and her former manager, 'A'.
Previously, 'A' accused the female comedian of employing them "without a contract as a freelancer" against their wishes. They also claimed that they were "denied the option of applying for the 4 essential types of insurance for employees", although Park Na Rae granted the same options to her mother and ex-boyfriend.
However, according to new KakaoTalk messages obtained by Lee Jin Ho, 'A' was in fact responsible for determining their own salary and insurance options, as well as the salaries and insurance options of other managers and Park Na Rae's stylists. During a consultation with Park Na Rae's accountant, 'A' was asked, "How do you want to be paid?". They were provided with 2 options - income earned through employment and income earned through business. 'A' then personally opted for the latter, despite the fact that the former would automatically enroll them in the 4 essential types of insurance.
Later, it was discovered 'A' had in fact opted to receive their income as a freelancer so that the earnings would be processed through their personal corporation, possibly evading various taxes.
Additionally, in a series of KakaoTalk messages exchanged with Park Na Rae, 'A' (referred to as 'S' in the image below) responded to the comedian's inquiries about their "low monthly salary" with, "I'm fine with this! It's more than adequate for business meeting expenses. You can cut it down, too."
According to Lee Jin Ho, settlement talks between Park Na Rae's side and 'A' eventually fell through as 'A' continued to demand larger amounts in damages, prompting Park Na Rae to pursue a legal dispute in court.
