Son Dam Bi recently revealed that she successfully lost 17 kg (37.4 lbs) just three months after giving birth.
On January 7, a new episode of 'No Back Tak Jae Hoon' was released on the YouTube channel No Back Tak Jae Hoon. In the video, Son Dam Bi spoke candidly about her post-birth weight loss journey.
In the latest interview, Son Dam Bi talked about her previous love for alcohol and explained she had drunk more frequently earlier in her marriage. However, she explained she stopped liking alcohol post birth. She explained, "I drank every day for four weeks straight after getting married."
While discussing her alcohol tolerance, Son Dam Bi shared, “When I first got married, I had dieted a lot. Because I was lighter, I’d drink and end up being carried home.”
Tak Jae Hoon then asked, “Why lose weight? Does your husband like you skinny?” To his surprise, Son Dam Bi gave an unexpected answer. “He doesn’t like it,” she said, revealing that her husband actually prefers her not to be too thin.
She continued, “I lost all the baby weight within three months after giving birth. I lost 17 kg, but since my husband used to be an athlete, he said he didn’t think that was a good idea," and added that as a former athlete, her husband expressed concern over the rapid weight loss. Tak Jae Hoon also chimed in, "Yeah, you've lost so much weight so quickly. It's more extreme than athletes losing weight. Even athletes don't lose weight like you."
However, Son Dam Bi emphasized that she lost the weight in a healthy way. “I lost it healthily. Really,” she said. “When you’re raising a baby, you naturally stop eating at night. That’s why the weight just comes off.” She explained that changes in her eating habits due to childcare played a key role in her weight loss. She shared, "I wasn't able to eat past 6 PM, so the weight naturally came off."
