EXO's Kai recently opened up about his current mentality and how he has grown more deeply and positively.
Gracing the cover of Elle Korea’s June issue, Kai partnered with Versace’s fragrance 'Eros Energy' for the first time through this project. He said, “It’s the kind of scent and vibe I absolutely want to bring on a summer vacation. It feels like catching the breeze on the Mediterranean,” expressing his personal taste.
In the interview following the photoshoot, Kai reflected on completing promotions for his 4th mini album 'Wait On Me' and preparing for his first solo world tour 'KAION,' saying, “Since this is my first activity after being discharged from military service, I felt like my energy to work was recharged. I want to tell fans who haven’t seen me for two years that they’ll be seeing me a lot more from now on.”

He added, “Because I’m certain that I’m doing my very best right now, it’s physically exhausting, but I’m mentally very happy and deeply satisfied,” showing his professional mindset.
Alongside various entertainment show appearances, Kai is also active as an MC on the popular web variety show 'Jeongwaja (Changing Majors).' He commented, “I learned a lot from my experience as a public service worker. My attitude toward people hasn’t changed, but now that I talk more about relatable everyday experiences, I think many people find me more approachable.”

When asked about the meaning of “doing well at work” as he enters his 14th year since debut, he explained, “In the past, I thought it was about the outcome. Now, I think it’s about staying in the field you’re in for a long time and enduring. The fact that you’ve been doing it for a long time is proof that you’re doing well, isn’t it?”
Kai will kick off his first world tour in Seoul on the 17th. He shared, “I feel nervous and excited, but above all, I feel happy.” He continued, “Most of my solo activities overlapped with the COVID-19 period, so I wasn’t able to meet fans in person. In the past, I used to focus more on myself, but now I’m definitely more focused on meeting fans. I really want to show them my best.”
