TREASURE members Junkyu and Asahi shared their thoughts on taking on the role of new leaders during their appearance on KBS Cool FM’s Park Myung Soo’s Radio Show on March 9.
When DJ Park Myung Soo asked if the leadership change meant previous leaders Choi Hyun Suk and Jihoon had caused trouble, the members quickly denied it, laughing. Choi Hyun Suk explained, “We discussed it with the company and decided that changing leaders every two years would be beneficial.” When Park Myung Soo jokingly asked if that meant they would continue as a group for at least ten years, the members responded with laughter.
Asked how he felt about his new role, Asahi said, “Junkyu and I have agreed to make sure we don’t fall short compared to our previous leaders.” When Park Myung Soo playfully asked if they received any extra financial incentives, Asahi clarified, “There are no material benefits.” He admitted, “There is a lot of pressure, but sharing the responsibility with Junkyu makes it easier. We just want to do well.”
