ILLIT has been chosen as the new face of an iconic ion beverage brand known for its pure and refreshing image.
On March 26, Belift Lab announced that ILLIT (Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha) has been selected as the 30th model for Dong-A Otsuka’s Pocari Sweat.
Previously, member Wonhee served as the brand’s 29th model. A group contract of this scale is a rare honor, with TWICE being the only other girl group to secure such a deal in Pocari Sweat’s history since 2017.
A representative from Pocari Sweat explained, "ILLIT is a group full of bright and lively energy, perfectly aligning with our brand’s refreshing and healthy image. We believe that our brand message, which supports the individuality and youthful spirit of teenagers confidently forging their own paths, will be well conveyed through ILLIT."
Pocari Sweat commercials have long been considered a "gateway to stardom," with past models including top celebrities such as Son Ye Jin, Han Ji Min, Park Shin Hye, Kim So Hyun, and TWICE.
Meanwhile, ILLIT recently celebrated its first debut anniversary on March 25.
