Netflix's 'Squid Game Season 2' awarded the Best Foreign Language Series award at the 30th Critics Choice Awards on February 7 in California. The show competed with top contenders such as 'Pachinko 2' and 'Citadel: Honey Bunny'.

Premiered in December 2024, the series follows Gi Hoon (Lee Jung Jae) seeking revenge against The Front Man (Lee Byung Hun). It dominated Netflix’s global charts, achieving over 1.5 billion cumulative views in three weeks and becoming one of the platform's top sequels.

The Critics Choice Awards, hosted by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA), honored 'Anora' with Best Picture and awarded acting honors to Demi Moore ('Substance') and Adrien Brody ('The Brutalist'). Meanwhile, 'Shogun' claimed four TV awards, including Best Drama and multiple acting prizes for Hiroyuki Sanada, Tadanobu Asano, and Moeka Hoshi.

This recognition solidifies 'Squid Game 2' as a global phenomenon and a significant achievement in streaming history.
