On February 11, Son Ye Jin’s agency, MSTeam Entertainment, confirmed that the actress has received the script for the new drama 'Variety' and is currently reviewing the offer. The official statement was made to Newsen.

'Variety' is an upcoming drama produced by CJ ENM Studios, helmed by director Kim Yong Hoon, known for his successful work on Netflix’s 'Mask Girl.' Kim won the Best Director award at the 22nd Directors’ Cut Awards for his work on the 2023 Netflix series 'Mask Girl,' which was widely acclaimed.

The drama, which is still in the casting stage, is expected to be a thriller that shines a light on the idol industry. Son Ye Jin has reportedly been offered the role of a talented idol group producer, a character that bears similarities to Min Hee Jin, the legendary producer behind the sensational success of the group NewJeans. While casting for the idol group members continues, the production team is working to assemble the final lineup.

In addition to this drama, Son Ye Jin is set to make her big-screen return with the film 'No Other Choice,' directed by Park Chan Wook. She stars alongside Lee Byung Hun in this highly anticipated film. Son has also confirmed her participation in the Netflix movie 'Scandal,' where she will appear alongside Ji Chang Wook.
