A few days ago, Jennie posted a photo promoting her upcoming solo album 'Ruby,' set to release in March. One fan discovered that Mingyu had "liked" the post when it was first created. While some fans viewed this as a supportive gesture, some fans criticized Mingyu.
The netizens who supported Mingyu pointed out that he was already good friends with BLACKPINK's Lisa, hence he was just showing support for her fellow groupmate Jennie. The ones who criticized Mingyu suggested that Mingyu should use a private account for such interactions, accusing him of "snooping" on female idols' activities.
