'Gone PD' stands out as it is entirely directed, edited, and produced by Artificial Intelligence, which has also handpicked each contestant. BLACKSWAN's Fatou was specifically chosen by the AI for her groundbreaking status as one of the first-ever Black K-pop idols and for her remarkable versatility.
Meanwhile, the AI PD selected tripleS' SeoYeon for her distinctive debut story in the K-pop industry. Known for her unusual path to stardom, SeoYeon became an idol without undergoing the traditional training period typically associated with K-pop artists.
"The AI PD's decision to cast Yoon SeoYeon in the variety show is intriguing," the announcement noted. "With a reported training period of '0 days,' her involvement is anticipated to add a fresh and unique dynamic to the program."
2023 marks a busy year for SeoYeon, as 'Gone PD' will be her second survival show appearance following her participation in 'Queendom Puzzle' earlier in the year.
