On July 31, tvN's variety show 'Yoo Quiz on the Block' announced they would be canceling their broadcast for the upcoming week. On their official Instagram page, they wrote, "Hello! We would like to inform you of our plans for 'Yoo Quiz on the Block'. On August 4th, Wednesday, due to the cancellation of the broadcast of 'Yoo Quiz on the Block', a highlight will be broadcast instead. Episode 118 will be broadcast on August 11th, Wednesday."

Previously, a staff member of the show tested positive for COVID-19, so the production crew, Yoo Jae Suk, and Jo Se Ho underwent COVID-19 testing. Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho both tested negative, but Yoo Jae Suk was classified as an individual who had 'close contact'. After the production crew confirmed with the health authorities that Yoo Jae Suk had been far away from the staff who tested positive, Yoo Jae Suk was allowed to safely end his self-quarantine. However, a decision was made to continue self-quarantining for a longer period of time in order to ensure the safety of everyone. Thus, filming has been canceled, and the broadcast has also been postponed.
