Honoring World Book Day - Jin Style.

April 23rd, 2020 was our Latest World Book Day, during which people would have normally visited their favorite bookshop, checked out what's new in their local libraries or rediscovered their bookshelves. However, this time, April 23rd, motivated us to look into Jin AKA KIM SEOKJIN the vocalist and visual of the boy band BTS and his relationship with books. RM, the leader of said group is known for his avid reading and him claiming that Jin is amongst the ones he can easily have philosophical discussions with, has made us interested to explore this topic further. We don't get many focused clips of Jin reading but we do manage to catch glimpse of him holding a book here and there as well as numerous anecdotes from other members which were the main resources for our search.

What we know, is that Jin like in many other aspects of BTS, inspires his band members:: this time to read. First We'll start with Jimin with whom he has gone on many bookstore shopping dates and have even managed to create their own little book club.

Then we'll move onto RM who had seen Jin reading as many as 5 books on one of their tours and was greatly motivated to continue reading a book he had been carrying around for two months.

On occasion, we catch him slipping and sharing his thoughts as well his favorite phrases from some of the genres he reads:

But from what we have gathered so far, beside manga, he seems to enjoy Philosophical books that tend to guide one to live a better life and be satisfied with ones' self; like his message of self- love in Epiphany:

And if you have ever wondered what Book he may recommend, It is bound to be something that would teach you how to balance your body and heart as you search for better ways and better lifestyles leading to a happier life.

With him Being a graduate of Konkuk University, it is no surprise that at some point, he would end up taking elective courses here and there to satisfy this interest of his.

And as Jim Rohn once Said, "Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary.” So it is no wonder that a Song written by such a person would also be extraordinary.
