BLACKPINK reigns on Spotify - Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa have taken first spot of most popular girl groups on Spotify in begining of 2020 year. Group working under YG Entertainment clearly tops ranking even without releasing any new music in last 10 months.
Red Velvet takes second place mainly because of hit song "Psycho". Stars from SM Entertainment: Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy and Yeri released "The ReVe Festival: Finale" in last days of 2019 and because of it's astonishing quality album gained attention of international fans and critics.
TWICE lands on third place. With "Fancy" and "Feel Special" MV's making huge numbers on youtube JYP Entertainment main girl group made a statement in 2019. Begining of 2020 is also very promising for Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu.Fans around the world are listening to their songs waiting for another comeback.
(G)I-DLE and MAMAMOO both slightlymissed podium spot with very similar result. In less than year (G)I-dle, girl group operating under CUBE Entertainment made three successful comebacks with: "Senorita", "Uh Oh" and "Lion". This was a key to stabilization of groups brand.
As for RBW Entertainment biggest stars - MAMAMOO - "Gogobebe" and "HIP" were a guarantee to fast increase of popularity around the world. What's worth noticing with MAMAMOO is that if we consider members solo activities then group surpasses TWICE with number of "listeners" on Spotify.
Next spots are "occupied" by soloists - IU and Chung Ha. Everglow places just after mentioned artists and stays ahead of another soloists LISA and Taeyeon.
Just outside of TOP 10 we had JENNIE, ITZY, SUNMI and MOMOLAND.
GFRIEND, EXID, CLC, AOA, LOONA and IZ*ONE are wrapping-up TOP 20.
