On February 7, the Busan Police Facebook page revealed heartwarming video footage of a young man returning to the police station a month after he committed a crime.

Last December 21, Mr. 'A' was caught stealing rice and kimchi from a senior citizen center in Busan and was arrested.  It was discovered that the culprit had eaten and slept at the senior citizen center a total of thirteen times.

Upon police investigation into his background, it was revealed that the man had recently lost both of his parents.  Nowhere else to go after getting out of jail, he stayed at a sauna and other places he could find shelter.

Feeling guilty of staying at the senior citizen center, Mr. 'A' volunteered to wash the dishes and cleaned the facility daily.

Seeing this, a police officer handed Mr. 'A' 30,000 KRW (around $27) to get himself, "something to eat," and searched for a suitable job. This good deed made Mr. 'A' get very emotional and cry.

A month later, Mr. 'A,' now employed, returned to the police station with the 30,000 KRW ($27) he was given during his hardship. He said, "Thank you so much. I came to return the 30,000 KRW ($27) in debt."

Realizing who it was, the police officers all applauded Mr. 'A' and congratulated him.

Finding out about the man's situation the senior citizen center opted to not press any charges against Mr. 'A.'
