According to industry insiders, boy groups NU'EST, HALO, and KNK will be appearing as contestants on the upcoming season 2 of 'Produce 101', which features male trainees.
On season 1 of 'Produce 101', Jung Chae Yeon was a contestant who had debuted with DIA before leaving the group in order to appear on the show. She then rejoined the group while carrying out promotions with IOI.�
One industry insider said, "Looking back on the success of the former season, it doesn't seem like a bad idea to appear just as a method of letting one's name be known on the male 'Produce 101'."
Meanwhile, the 2nd season of 'Produce 101' will be hosted by BoA.�
