'The Show' has released another statement on the controversy surrounding UP10TION's Wooshin and IOI's Jeon So Mi.

The statement read,

'The Show' staff is making the following statmenet on the Christmas video.
First, we sincerely apologize about hurting our program's two MCs Wooshin and Somi because of an unexpected controversy. And we are also sorry for troubling viewers who love 'The Show'.
The video was filmed from Somi's manager's phone at 'The Show' staff's request. 'The Show' staff were not present during the filming, but managers from both labels were present. Not only did we check if the filming was okay with the two MCs, but they also did a rehearsal beforehand and filmed without problems. The final product was also monitored by both parties before we received and uploaded it.
If you watch the video, you can see that the MCs are standing apart from each other. The problematic scene that cast a shadow on Somi's tie happened when Somi ducked her head so she wouldn't be out of the frame which coincided with Wooshin moving his hand while he was explaining, so it looked like one happened because of another. However, they definitely had physical distance between them, which we confirmed again through female managers on Somi's side, as well as staff. There was a misunderstanding because of the angle of the filming. We state again that there was no physical contact.
We are sorry for troubling you by not realizing that the video could have had misunderstandings. Wooshin and Somi always are considerate of each other during filming, and we are sad that this misunderstanding happened.
We sincerely apologize once again for the pain the two MCs received that was caused by the staff's thoughtless response, and we also apologize to the viewers of 'The Show' who was troubled by this event.

Hopefully this clears up misunderstandings!

What is really sad about this is the double standard, I mean this kid gets crucified over a mistake, because let´s be real if he touch her or not only they know, but even if he did it was clearly unintentional, Who would be stupid enough to mess with the new national little sister? The point is, she is a woman, innocent, pure  ... bla bla bla, and if a male was near her body he should die, but if you have a video of a female cast and staff harassing a bunch of male idols is ok? ... c´mon world we are better than that, stop the witch hunting of anyone vulnerable

I'm not a fan of his (or hers) but I think that he didn't have any bad intentions if he did accidentally touch her and he doesn't want to damage his career so I personalty think it's stupid to think that he would touch her inappropriately on a video.

I'm really angry, I need to say. Wooshin was never do that. So haters, please later. Just shut up and don't say things you don't know. Why the hell you need this. what a disgusting guy!

Maggie Monday, December 26, 2016

I feel sorry for this guy. I don't think he was intentional doing anything. Sorry for the girl too.

Some of you obviously can't understand that Somi is like a little sister to millions of fans, and even the slightest perception that she has been in some way disrespected or inappropriately touched or harassed will result in blood-boiling fury and the desire for the offending punk's head to be stuck on the proverbial pike. Whether the kid here actually touched her or not doesn't matter. His filthy paws shouldn't have been anywhere near her chest to begin with. He is lucky this was wasn't filmed in front of a military base crowd or he may not have escaped with his limbs still attached. Kpop conditioning is very effective in creating this sentiment on a mass scale... it becomes instinct as if Somi suddenly has millions of pissed off real older brothers.

You need help. Soon.

Honestly I kind of agree as girls in kpop are really like... I'm not sure what word to use, maybe so untouchable, something nobody has the right to touch, you know. Almost like little goddesses. The idea is the same, what you said it true, but maybe the scale you were talking in was too big. Opposite sex interactions are a sensitive issue in kpop, that much I agree.

Do the thousands of ROK military members and all the other "oppa/uncle" fans in Korea and around the world need "help" also? Think I'm the only one posting online that our first reaction is to want to throttle anyone who messes with girl group members. Did I start the whole backlash in the Korean web against the kid to begin with?

BigBlueagain 3percenter Tuesday, December 27, 2016

Yes, they do. These are the same people who crucified Tiffany for a fucking emoji. I wouldn't put it past them to murder someone who did nothing simply because they didn't take time to think. Seems to be a national character flaw.

There is a difference between Shitizen fucks who inpect every frame of film and every second of soundbite like the NSA to find something to bitch about a female celebrity like Tiff (because they are miserable jealous girls or bitter nutless eunuchs), and those who get pissed at a punk kid who "may" have touched a female girl group member or celebrity on her chest or any other "off limit" spot. They are not the same thing. One is justifiable the other isn't. The issue here HAS happened. In fact, I remember a clip of Fany getting stealthily groped by some filthy slime on a variety show years back. The fury over what this kid is perceived to have done is understandable, even more so because Somi is a minor. The hatred heaped on Fany wasn't justifiable in any way, shape, or form. Not everything is morally equivalent or comparable.

One last time. He. did. not. do. anything. What part of that is so difficult for you to understand?

Damnnn, public relations people for "The Show" are on point

PacifistDJ_OKO Monday, December 26, 2016

this guy deserve in jail

steadystrike PacifistDJ_OKO Monday, December 26, 2016

They need to castrate for his own good.

samael Monday, December 26, 2016

it doesnt look like he touched her, there was no real movement on the blouse, but to say they were far enough  apart making it impossible for him to touch her is also a lie, if he were, they wouldnt have been able to highfive together so closely 2seconds later.

most_like Monday, December 26, 2016

sure he did but somi and the show didn't want this to ruin his career

iisstf28 most_like Monday, December 26, 2016

Why would they care that much about his career? It is not like he comes from an influential company like the Big 3 and why would she want to protect someone who did something bad to her? You people really make no sense

most_like iisstf28 Monday, December 26, 2016

why wouldn't they? it's still a career after all. you act as though, all your biases are from the big 3. only big 3 idols are idols? lol

iisstf28 most_like Monday, December 26, 2016

No, I didn't say that? I'm saying that since he comes from a small company, music shows don't really care about them since they don't bring big money (big news: music shows only care about money!). In their eyes, they are doing that kid a favor for letting him promote next to someone who really brings big money, if he actually did something as stupid as touching Somi on camera, they would throw his ass immediately because 1) they don't really care about him or his career 2) they will protect someone from an influential company so they will get on their good side.

most_like iisstf28 Monday, December 26, 2016

sure Somi doesn't want to be in a scandal or be known as the girl who was touched inappropriately. similar for the show. it's just a reputation thing. his career and his group's also gonna be ruined if this is true.

PrincessSeolhyun most_like Monday, December 26, 2016

You are making a mistake! Somi was happy that she was being touched by him... probably got all excited down there

most_like PrincessSeolhyun Monday, December 26, 2016

lol even if she was really happy inside, she has to act like she wasn't
