Iron's surprise comeback is stirring up quite the controversy.

On June 29, Iron returned with his new track "SYSTEM" after 3 months of hiatus following his marijuana scandal. Currently, his hurried comeback time frame, as well as the lyrics of his new song, are under fire.

The controversy surrounding "SYSTEM" goes along with Iron's lyrics toward the end of his track, where he criticizes Big Bang's G-Dragon for his past marijuana scandal, and T.O.P. for his lack of talent.

The controversial lyrics state, "He shaved his head, but I grew mine. What's he going to pull out from now? GD b**** cheated on his fans, but pretends like he got dumped by them. Handicapped rapper T.O.P. Just change your career to acting."

Many netizens expressed discomfort towards Iron's hurried comeback, and with a track full of disses, at that. What are your thoughts on Iron's "SYSTEM"?

GD once said that a song with a strong message is strong enough to move the entire world. He was right, and that's the reason for his fame for the songs he wrote. A song with a strong diss with no significant meaning, however, will only get yourself in trouble, no matter how good the beat sounds. There's a huge difference between GD's diss rap about MAMA and Iron's diss rap about GD.

awww you poor child, been 2 months are still stuck at 500,000 views eh? even when you attacked the biggest co and their artists and subsequently millions of fans? uber flop

I'm actually very disappointed, because I've been a fan of Iron since he was on smtm. However, bigbang was the group that introduced me to the Korean scene, and definitely rank first place when it comes to my favorite Korean artists to me. I don't keep up with Iron too much, and I'll probably still check out this song, but to put in a fuss towards GD and TOP after his own controversy just sounds desperate. It seems like he's just angry towards the fact that he was caught and his trying to bring others down with him, which is childish. He still has fans, including me, and I would have been more excited for his song, but this whole diss kinda ruins the hype. It's too bad..

[No I'm not a ygstan] See if Iron REEEAAALLLLYYY cared about attacking the "system" he could have gone harder and made wittier lyrics and talk in depth about the corruption but instead he took the easy business way out and just focus on a popular company he's had a complex with since day 1 on smtm3. his purpose was to revive himself by climbing on someone else's popularity. It was never about the "system" since 98% of the lyrics deal with YG artists, gays, makeup even though there were much more significant govt scandals & worse offenders in this industry. He had so much potential. Too bad all that weed is slowing his ability to think. If your country's law is XYZ then stick to it. Weed isn't worth ruining your career and life over, then again...he didnt have a career to begin with...

I smell DESPERATION. The quickest way for a sinking rapper to gain attention is to mention GD & TOP, the best way for a virtually unknown artist (signed with a big or small agency) to be popular is to diss gd and top. I thought TOP was the only rapper and artist that no one dissed, not even MC Meta, San-E power rappers like 1llionaire, and now this, after 10 years in the business, this guy disses him? funny funny guy, either he's an idiot or he's a genius to judge TOP

I am guessing that TOP and GD are sitting in their million dollar homes, with their millions in ticket sales and record sales and not worrying too much about Iron. Big Bang doesn't need to mention a more popular artist just to sell records, but obviously Iron does. He must still be high if he thinks his opinion matters to them.

The funny funny thing? No one dare diss TOP after 10 years in the biz, and now this wannabe comes in and dare judge him. He's either an idiot or a genius who can tell TOP what career he should take.

Dis tracks were among two artists that are similar in stature in the industry or that have a very public altercation- this is just publicity hunting by a virtual unknown.

I hope TOP lashes out to this, he's been resting way too long.

because he mentioned GD and TOP this article is getting #1 on AllKpop news and 1000 comments. If he just released this song without dropping names, no one would freaking care.

I mean I'm cool with this because Idols do this and sometimes they do it at eachother like a joke dis, or some kind of ": not literally hating you : way. Unless it's Show Me the Money. I love that show but damn! Those fights get real! just like Unpretty Rapstar! those are real lol! But like comeback track, those are fine because most of the time they aren't actually hating. It's a rapper thing, they do this in America too.

yes, but the girls in unpretty rapstar are actually pretty cool with each other off camera, so idk if they actually "hate"

Top was an underground rapper before he debuted.

I like the song though I believe Iron can do without disses :d
