The attorney representing Shin Hae Chul's family in their case against the hospital for medical malpractice revealed the X-ray taken of the veteran singer before his death, as revealed through JTBC's 'Newsroom' on November 11. �The X-ray was taken on October 19, two days after his surgery on October 17. �

In addition, YTN showed two X-rays, one taken earlier on October 17 before his surgery and one taken on October 19 after his surgery. �While the earlier one showed no signs of his chest and heart being filled with gas, the one taken after the surgery showed that they had then become filled with gas.�

Professor Lee Won Yong of cardiothoracic surgery at Hallym University Medical Center remarked in an interview with JTBC, "It looks like there was a high possibility he already had a perforation on October 19 when looking at the air inside his chest within the picture."

In addition, in the afternoon, his wife,�Yoon Won Hee, went under an approximately 4-hour long investigation at the Songpa Police Office in Seoul. �She came out at around 7 PM and told the reporters, "I earnestly wish that my husband's death would not remain as just one person's death and that this will become an opportunity for overtly unfavorable medical lawsuit systems and our nation's medical treatment system's improper institution and practices to improve."

Meanwhile, back on October 31, she had filed a lawsuit against Sky Hospital and its director, K, on the charges of manslaughter; hence, the police had investigated the nurses and director K of Sky Hospital as well as Shin Hae Chul's life manager and Asan Hospital reps.�
