Yoon Kye Sang reveals why he left g.o.d

AKP STAFF

Former g.o.d member Yoon Kye Sang revealed the true story behind why he left the group for the first time.

On the November 17th episode of Olive TV's 'Yoon Kye Sang's One Table', host Yoon Kye Sang invited the g.o.d members as guests, reuniting for the first time in eight years on screen.

After finishing a meal together, they began discussing their g.o.d days and opened up about subjects they have kept silent on for many years. What particularly caught the attention of viewers and fans was Yoon Kye Sang's explanation on why he left the group and his clarification about the rumors that suggested he had departed to pursue an acting career.

He stated, "There's something the members have misunderstood. I had wanted to quit being a celebrity. Then I happened to come by an opportunity to act for the first time, and I ended up really enjoying it," revealing that his intention to leave the group was originally not to pursue acting.

"Because of the various situations going on, I couldn't deny [the rumors] going around. I just accepted them all. It really took a lot for me to stand on stage at the g.o.d's [6th album] showcase after 40,000 fans became [my] anti-fans [after the rumors]," he stated emotionally.

As the members and much of the public believed all this time that the reason for Yoon Kye Sang's leave was to pursue his own acting career, hearing his confession, Park Jun Hyung, Danny Ahn, Son Ho Young, and Kim Tae Woo were unable to hold back their tears.

Kim Tae Woo said, "I've misunderstood for the past 8 years. I thought a lot of dumb things. I was young and believed only what was in front of me, and I thought for sure that's what was right. I never thought [there could be other reasons]. I was just always resentful."

Danny Ahn added, "I'm thankful that Kye Sang had the courage [to tell us]." Kim Tae Woo concluded, "I think Kye Sang hyung had it harder than we did. I think we're getting along better, and the misunderstanding has been cleared up. I'm thankful because I think that we'll all be able to get along well from now on."

In related news, 'Yoon Kye Sang's One Table' aired its last episode on the 17th.
