Singer and actress Nam Gyu Ri delighted fans by unveiling a surprise duet version of her new song “December Dream.”
On December 10, Nam Gyu Ri released the video “Nam Gyu Ri X SLAY – December Dream (Duet Ver.)” on her official YouTube channel.
Set against a backdrop of gently falling snow, the video features Nam Gyu Ri, born in 1984, and SLAY, born in 1997, portraying a couple and delivering a sweet, romantic chemistry. Their blended vocals add a fresh layer of emotion to the warm lyrics of “December Dream,” offering listeners a different kind of resonance and lingering aftertaste from the original version.
SLAY, who participated in the duet, is a producer and solo artist as well as a member of the male duo LAS. The collaboration came about after Nam Gyu Ri remade LAS’s song “Sadness Came to Me” last year, which received a positive response and led to this reunion.
“December Dream” is a winter-themed emotional ballad designed to let listeners pause and catch their breath. Its conversational, everyday lyrics deliver gentle comfort to weary hearts, earning strong empathy from audiences. The music video, in which Nam Gyu Ri showcased eight different outfit concepts, also drew significant attention.
