President Ahn Sung Il of The Givers and his associate, director Baek, have been ordered to pay FIFTY FIFTY's agency ATTRAKT approximately 500 million KRW (approx. 340,507 USD) in damages incurred for "tampering" with the group's activities.
On January 15 KST, the 33rd Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court ruled that Ahn and Baek had violated their duties as an externally-sourced producing company hired by ATTRAKT, instead deceiving the agency and conducting professional malpractice. Thus, the court ordered Ahn and Baek to jointly pay the plaintiff, ATTRAKT, a total of approximately 500 million KRW (~ $340,000 USD) in damages.
Meanwhile, the original members of FIFTY FIFTY became embroiled in a legal dispute with ATTRAKT over their exclusive contracts some time after the global success of their hit song, "Cupid", in 2023. Later, ATTRAKT claimed that The Givers, a company externally-sourced for the production of "Cupid" and other music by FIFTY FIFTY, had tampered with the members, coercing them into the legal dispute.
