The nation's MC, Yoo Jae Suk, is well-known for his kind heart, both on and off the screen. In a bit of heartwarming news, it was revealed that he sought to made a cancer patient very happy by making her wish come true - to meet the famous comedian for herself.
Her boyfriend related the event through an Internet posting. "My girlfriend really likes Yoo Jae Suk," he said. "Because her situation recently got worse, she asked me if she could meet him. I left a message on the 'Infinity Challenge' website asking if we could at least call him once, since we're too far from Seoul."
His girlfriend, who was diagnosed with gastric cancer, underwent surgery three years ago but was forced to go through surgery again when the cancer spread to her large intestine. She has continued treatment for the past three years at a hospital in Busan.
After he posted his experience on the Internet, it drew a hot response from netizens, eventually leading to the program's PD giving the boyfriend a call. The PD promised that he, along with Yoo Jae Suk, would get in contact with the couple. "I told her about the news while she was asleep," her boyfriend related.
