Hyun Bin to serve as a combat soldier

On April 18th, actor Hyun Bin was officially dispatched as a combat soldier, raising great concern amongst fans. After completing his training on the 22nd, he'll be going on a five day break before starting his service as a combat soldier on Baengnyeong Island. When the marines initially reported that he would be dispatched as a promotions officer, controversy began brewing that the marines were giving Hyun Bin 'special treatment' for being a celebrity. Now, nearly 10 days after the decision, Hyun Bin has been officially dispatched as a combat soldier. A representative of the marines stated, "We have reflected the citizens of the nation's wish for recruit Kim Tae Pyung to serve as a standard combat soldier."
