Queen Seon Duk experiencing drastic ratings decline

While most dramas would be happy with ratings like this, MBC and the production team for Queen Seon Duk must be deeply worried after the latest episode on 23rd November saw another continued decline in ratings. Since the death of Mishil (Go Hyun Jung) in the drama, the ratings have declined episode by episode and it looks highly unlikely that it will reach the magical 50% mark. Episode 50 (Mishil's death) - 44.4% Episode 51 - 42.3% Episode 52 - 37.7% Episode 53 yielded a rating of 35% which most dramas would be happy to get but for Queen Seon Duk, it would be somewhat disappointing. Most would point to the fact that Mishil played by Go Hyun Jung was very much the life of Queen Seon Duk and it's very much like the departure of Mishil has turned viewers away from watching it any further. 'The end of Mishil means the end of Queen Seon Duk', perhaps that's what most viewers in Korea are thinking, even if the drama title is about the life of Queen Seon Duk, not the life of Mishil.
