SF9 member Taeyang (Yoo Tae Yang) enlisted in the military on March 3.
Before his enlistment, Taeyang had actively engaged with fans through the musical 'Rent' and a fan meeting. He entered the training center to complete basic military training and will serve in the military band.
Last month, FNC Entertainment announced via SF9’s official fan café that Taeyang would enter the training center on March 3. The agency stated that, having recently applied for the military band, Taeyang had received final acceptance from the Military Manpower Administration. He underwent basic military training upon enlistment and will fulfill his service in the military band.
The agency also noted that, since the enlistment day involved a large number of soldiers, the location and time of Taeyang’s enlistment were kept private, and no separate event was held.
Additionally, the agency expressed gratitude to fans, saying, “We sincerely thank everyone for the love shown to Taeyang. Please continue to support him as he dutifully completes his military service and returns in good health.”
Taeyang debuted with SF9 in 2016 and had also been active as a musical actor, starring in productions such as 'The Three Musketeers,' 'Salieri,' and 'Rent,' earning widespread love for his performances.
