ILLIT has added another meaningful milestone in Japan with their debut track.
According to an article published by Oricon on March 4, ILLIT’s debut song ‘Magnetic,’ the title track of their first mini album ‘SUPER REAL ME,’ surpassed a cumulative total of 300,289,729 streams as of March 1 KST.
Oricon reported that ‘Magnetic’ achieved 300 million streams just 101 weeks after first appearing on the Weekly Streaming Ranking, marking the fastest record among overseas female artists on the chart.
Released in March 2024, ‘Magnetic’ quickly gained global popularity. The track topped major domestic music charts and also reached the 100 million streaming milestone on Oricon’s Weekly Streaming Ranking dated June 17, 2024, becoming the fastest song by a female group to do so.
The song further proved its impact by entering both the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and the Official Singles Top 100 in the United Kingdom, making it the first and fastest K pop debut song to appear on both charts and demonstrating ILLIT’s power as a “super rookie” group.
Its long term global success is also noteworthy. On the global audio streaming platform Spotify, ‘Magnetic’ surpassed 700 million cumulative streams as of November 2025, the fastest achievement among debut songs by K pop groups. Nearly two years after its release, the track continues to remain on Melon’s daily chart, widely considered a barometer of mainstream popularity in Korea.
Meanwhile, ILLIT will kick off their first tour with ‘ILLIT LIVE ‘PRESS START♥︎’ in SEOUL’ on March 14 and 15 at Ticketlink Live Arena in Seoul, formerly known as the Handball Gymnasium. The concert sold out all sessions on the first day of presales, once again proving the group’s strong ticket power.
