Park Mi Sun shared news of her return to work following her battle with breast cancer.
On March 4, Park took to social media to update fans, writing, “It’s my first time back on set in a while. Many people have told me not to work yet and have expressed their concerns, so I plan to return to the field slowly and gently.”
She continued, “Since this is something I may have to fight for a lifetime, I suppose living my everyday life is what truly matters. I won’t rush. I will take it one step at a time.” In the photo she shared, Park is seen smiling brightly at the camera on set alongside fellow broadcaster Kim Jung Nan, signaling her gradual return to public activities.
Previously, in January, Park suspended all broadcasting activities due to health concerns. At the time, her agency stated that it was difficult to disclose details as it involved personal medical information. It was later revealed that she had been battling breast cancer.
Park Mi Sun debuted in 1988 through the open recruitment for comedians at Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, also known as MBC. In 1993, she married comedian Lee Bong Won, who was selected through Korean Broadcasting System, known as KBS. The couple has one son and one daughter.
Her heartfelt message has drawn support from fans and colleagues as she begins her steady return to both daily life and the screen.
