5 in a Row for Girls' Generation

9-member girl group Girls' Generation picked up their 5th consecutive K-Chart win at KBS2TV Music Bank this evening, 13th February with their hit single Gee. They were up against Daesung's trot single Daebak Ya! and SS501 Boys Before Flower song Because I'm Stupid but still managed to eke out a win. The win also meant that Girls' Generation have now equalled the Wonder Girls consecutive wins with So Hot in the middle of last year. The girls should now aim for Jewelry's record of 7 consecutive wins with Baby One More Time set around the same period as what Girl's Generation are doing now. Certainly achievable. The girls said in their acceptance speech, "Thank you to everyone who showed us love. And I want to say I love you, especially to our fans."
