In midst of the controversy surrounding�Onew, mixed responses have started to rise up in regards to him playing a role in 'Youth Generation 2'.

Even though the charges against the artist have been dropped, it appears that his image still took a toll as mixed responses have started to pop up in regards to him playing a role in 'Youth Generation 2'. While one side states that it was simply a misunderstanding and it shouldn't affect his appearance on the drama, the other side is suggesting that 'Youth Generation 2' should remove the artist from the drama entirely.

The former side has expressed that even though the controversy did occur, it concluded as a misunderstanding and that it should not negatively affect the whole drama as well as his fellow actors who worked extremely hard to prepare for the drama. However, the latter evokes that because Onew was involved in a sexual harassment�controversy, it will be very difficult to focus/concentrate on the drama especially because the character he will be playing will have a romantic relationship with a character�who has gone through a history of dating violence.�

With the drama airing only in couple weeks on August 25, the producers of the drama said, "We have not discussed anything related to Onew and him resigning from the drama."
