
tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama 'Shin’s Project' is rising fast in popularity, backed by a gripping storyline and powerhouse cast. The series has quickly gained momentum through word-of-mouth, with its latest episode recording a peak viewership rating of 9.6%, the highest among all programs in its time slot.
According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 6 of 'Shin’s Project,' aired on September 30, achieved an average nationwide rating of 7.5% and a peak of 9.6%. In the metropolitan area, it recorded 7.1% on average, peaking at 9.2%. The drama also ranked No. 1 among viewers in their 20s and 40s, cementing its dominance in tvN’s target demographic.
Starring Han Suk Kyu, Bae Hyun Sung, and Lee Re, the series explores real estate crimes and societal issues, with the latest episode tackling the timely subject of rental fraud.

Episode 6 followed Shin as he stepped in to resolve a dispute between Baek Seung Moo and Go Jae Kyung, both of whom grew up with him in an orphanage. Investigating under the guise of a journalist, Shin discovered that Baek’s mother, Oh Mi Sook, was the true mastermind, owning multiple fraudulent rental properties and partnering with Lee Min Chul, a man with a history of real estate scams.
The plot escalated when Oh Mi Sook transferred all problem properties into her son’s name before disappearing, leaving Baek devastated to the point of attempting suicide.
The episode also delved into Shin’s personal grief, marking the memorial of his son who died 15 years ago. The emotional scenes highlighted Han Suk Kyu’s performance, which viewers praised as heart-wrenching.

The cliffhanger came when Detective Choi Chul revealed that Yoon Dong Hee, the man responsible for Shin’s son’s death, had escaped from a hospital despite appearing mentally unstable.
