The Yale Book of Quotations is a collection of the most notable quotes from the year. It's published by the Yale University Press and the list is compiled by Fred Shapiro, an associate librarian at Yale Law School.
As fitting for the election year in the United States, the top two spots went to Mitt Romney, while spots 3 to 5 went to Barack Obama. The ranking for 6 to 8 also went to other political figures, and Psy was the only non political figure to land in the top 10 at #9.
