Singer and actress Hyeri has revealed that she sustained an injury while preparing for her fan meeting tour, leading her to seek emergency treatment in a wheelchair.
On September 12, Hyeri uploaded a video titled 'Sccessfully Wrapped Up the Fan Meeting Tour in Kuala Lumpur' on her official YouTube channel Hyeri. In the video, her home was seen covered with medicated patches, and she candidly opened up about the incident.
“There’s a sad story behind these patches,” she explained. “I got injured while preparing for the fan meeting. My pelvis and the left side of my back have been uncomfortable. It’s not to the point of disrupting my daily life, but whenever I wear heels or stretch, I feel pain.”
Hyeri then detailed the moment of the injury. “I was rehearsing, and during a move where I had to swing my hips sideways, it suddenly felt like my pelvic bone twisted. I stopped, but everyone thought I was joking. When I tried to get up again, I couldn’t put weight on my foot.” Despite the sudden injury, she filmed the situation with the intention of using it as YouTube content.
She later visited an emergency hospital but was told that there were “no abnormalities.” However, she added, “My left pelvis was swollen, and I was only prescribed very strong painkillers.”
As the pain persisted, Hyeri sought treatment at several other hospitals. “Between midnight and 3 a.m., I went to another hospital for scans, but the MRI also showed no abnormalities. I ended up visiting four hospitals, and they all said nothing was wrong, even though I was in pain,” she confessed.
Fortunately, her condition improved with time, allowing her to walk again. She immediately returned to fulfill her commitment to fans. “I ended up spending the night at the hospital, and once I could walk, I went straight to the fan meeting venue,” she said, moving fans with her determination.
