
Actor Jun (Lee Jun Young) is set to make his big-screen debut in Japan, starring alongside acclaimed actress Yu Aoi in the upcoming film 'Tokyo Taxi,' directed by legendary filmmaker Yoji Yamada.
On September 12, the production team unveiled new stills from the movie, showing Lee Jun Young dancing with Yu Aoi, raising anticipation for their on-screen chemistry.
'Tokyo Taxi' is a human drama that explores themes of reconciliation, regrets, and miracles encountered at life’s final stages. The film is a remake of the French production 'Driving Madeleine' (Paris Taxi).
Lee Jun Young takes on the role of Kim Young Ki, the first love of the protagonist Sumire, portrayed in her later years by veteran actress Chieko Baisho. Yu Aoi plays the younger version of Sumire, bringing depth to the story’s nostalgic elements.
Directed by Yoji Yamada, one of Japan’s most respected auteurs, the film also stars Takuya Kimura, Takaya Sakoda, and more. 'Tokyo Taxi' is slated for release in Japan on November 21.
In addition to his film activities, Lee Jun Young will also drop his first mini-album, 'Last Dance,' on September 22, marking an exciting month for the multi-talented artist.
