
RM (real name Kim Nam Joon), leader of BTS, marked his birthday with a meaningful gesture by donating 100 million KRW (about $72,000) each to Asan Medical Center and Korea University Medical Center.
According to the medical community on September 12, RM contributed a total of 200 million KRW (around $144,000) in honor of his birthday. The donation to Asan Medical Center will be directed toward covering treatment and surgery costs for financially vulnerable patients, while the fund given to Korea University Medical Center will be used to improve medical facilities and expand healthcare services.
“I wanted to take part in something meaningful to celebrate my birthday,” RM said in a statement. “I hope this contribution can provide some support to patients who are suffering due to financial hardships but are in urgent need of medical treatment.”
Both institutions expressed gratitude for RM’s generosity, noting that his donations will make a tangible difference in supporting patients and advancing medical care.
