SBS has unveiled the first teaser for its upcoming romantic comedy drama 'Would You Marry Me.'

The drama follows the sweet yet nerve-wracking story of two people who enter a spectacular 90-day "fake newlywed life" to win a luxury newlywed home giveaway.

Released on September 11 through SBS Drama’s official YouTube channel, the teaser opens with Yoo Mary (Jung So Min), a bold "straight-shooter" who speaks her mind even during a company presentation. After discovering that her fiancé, Kim Woo Joo (played by Seo Beom Joon), has been cheating, an enraged and drunken Mary ends up meeting another man with the same name, Kim Woo Joo (played by Choi Woo Shik).

On impulse, Mary makes a shocking proposal, "Will you be my husband?" The teaser then reveals scenes of the two taking wedding photos together, signaling the start of their pretend marriage. Woo Joo, dressed in a tuxedo, holds Mary by the waist while she leans gently on his shoulder in a wedding dress, creating a dreamy atmosphere. Their sweet chemistry continues as they act like newlyweds to avoid being exposed, with one moment showing Woo Joo tucking Mary’s hair behind her ear, making her smile unconsciously.

The teaser also hints at the characters’ backstories. Yoo Mary, a struggling designer, is forced to cancel her marriage registration after catching her longtime boyfriend cheating. Just then, she wins the lottery for a luxurious townhouse available only to newlyweds, pushing her to find a fake husband to keep the prize.

Kim Woo Joo (Choi Woo Shik), the only son of a bakery with an 80-year history, lost his parents in an accident as a child. Since then, he has lived without dreams or love until he meets Mary. As the two fall in love, the truth behind his parents’ accident begins to unravel, and Woo Joo steps up to protect her.

The leads, Choi Woo Shik and Jung So Min, are already generating excitement. Both are known as "rom-com masters," praised for their proven chemistry in past projects. Choi charmed audiences with his puppy-like appeal in SBS’s 'Our Beloved Summer' and Netflix’s 'Melo Movie.' Jung has impressed in dramas such as Because This Is My First Life, Alchemy of Souls, and My Mom’s Friend’s Son, balancing cuteness with a strong, upright presence.

Notably, 'Would You Marry Me' marks Jung So Min’s return to SBS after 15 years since her debut in 'Bad Guy.' For Choi Woo Shik, it will be his first SBS drama in three years since 'Our Beloved Summer.'

The series is helmed by director Song Hyun Wook, a veteran in the rom-com genre. He previously captivated audiences nationwide with hits like 'Another Miss Oh' (tvN), 'The Beauty Inside' (JTBC), and 'The King’s Affection' (KBS2).

More than just a lighthearted fake-marriage story, the drama promises to deliver a heartfelt journey of growth as the two leads heal each other’s wounds and discover the true meaning of love and happiness.

SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama 'Would You Mary Me' premieres on October 10.
