On March 3, hard-of-hearing group Big Ocean returned to the scene with their third mini-album.
Composed of members Jiseok, PJ, and Chanyeon, Big Ocean has continuously challenged prejudice and redefined possibility in the K-Pop industry. Their comeback project, 'THE GREATEST BATTLE,' marks their most personal declaration since debut.
“‘THE GREATEST BATTLE’ may be a fight against the world for some, and a fight against oneself for others,” the group shared.
“I survived. And as long as I am alive, this fight is not over. We hope everyone wins their own ‘Greatest Battle’ on their respective battlefields.”
The mini-album consists of four tracks, led by the title track "One Man Army." Inspired by Admiral Yi Sun-shin’s legendary victory at the Battle of Myeongnyang, it notably marks the first time all members participated in the composition.
"Alive," the album’s opener, delivers a powerful declaration of presence and survival, while "Back" captures the exhilaration of reclaiming oneself after chaos and betrayal. Lastly, "Cold Moon"—the project's co-title track—is driven by vibrant synth-pop textures and a sleek nu-disco groove.
