
Actor Kim Young Dae is set to fulfill his national duty.
On March 25, his agency OUTERUNIVERSE confirmed to Dispatch,“Kim Young Dae will enter a training camp next month and serve as an active-duty soldier in the Army.”
Kim Young Dae has previously mentioned his enlistment plans in several interviews. In particular, during a 'Dear X' interview last year, he roughly revealed the expected timing of his enlistment. He also expressed anticipation for his career after completing military service. “I want to take on more roles that suit me well. I have ambitions to expand my acting spectrum,” he said.
Kim Young Dae made his debut in 2017 through a web drama and rose to fame with notable roles in dramas such as 'Extraordinary You' and 'No Gain No Love.'
His most recent project is 'Dear X,' where he left a strong impression portraying Yoon Jun Seo, a character who has stood by Baek Ah Jin (played by Kim Yoo Jung) throughout her life. He also made a special appearance in 'Boyfriend on Demand.'
Meanwhile, Kim Young Dae is expected to be discharged from the military between September and October 2027.
