Actors Kim Hye Yoon, Lee Jong Won, and Kim Jun Han are set to engage in a suffocating fight for survival in the upcoming film 'Salmokji: Whispering Water.'
On March 3, the production team behind 'Salmokji: Whispering Water' (directed by Lee Sang Min) unveiled a series of press stills capturing the tense moments surrounding Su In (played by Kim Hye Yoon) and her filming crew as they head to Salmokji Reservoir.
The images hint at an ominous atmosphere. A suspicious figure appears in road-view footage filmed by Kyung Tae (played by Kim Young Sung). In an effort to reshoot the scene, the crew makes their way back to the reservoir.
Senior colleague Gyo Sik (portrayed by Kim Jun Han), who had previously gone out of contact, suddenly reappears at Salmokji. He returns to the team with a strangely distorted demeanor.
After receiving a phone call, Su In is seen wearing a look of confusion. Kyung Joon (played by Oh Dong Min) and Sung Bin (played by Yoon Jae Chan) stand frozen, gripping flashlights in shock.
Se Jung (Jang Da Ah) is overcome with fear upon checking a motion detector designed to sense ghosts. Meanwhile, Ki Tae (Lee Jong Won) learns of a dark secret tied to Salmokji from an elderly woman living nearby.
As the crew attempts to leave the reservoir, they find themselves going in circles, as if trapped. Seemingly entranced by an unseen force, they are drawn toward the water. Ultimately, they collapse in shock, staring at something beyond sight.
Salmokji is a horror film that follows a film crew who visit a reservoir to investigate a mysterious figure captured in road-view footage, only to encounter something lurking beneath the surface.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters on April 8.
