On March 27, Cao Lu’s YouTube channel released a video titled 'JYP Fossil(?) Miss A’s Min, We Met! Talked About Dating, Marriage, and Everything with Youngshim.'
In the video, former girl group miss A member Min shared candid stories about her marriage, early struggles as a trainee, and reflections on her career. Min spoke warmly about married life, saying, “It’s really great. I get to see his handsome face every day. It’s much more fun than being alone, I’ve made a friend, and I don’t have to eat alone anymore.” She added with a laugh, “Sometimes I feel like I have a father, and sometimes like I have a son.”
She also revealed how she met her husband. “We met in Korea and dated for seven years,” Min explained. “We first crossed paths at an EDM music festival.” She shared an interesting twist: “At first, he didn’t know me personally, but he had seen me a few times before. He told me that he watched Miss A perform ‘Hush’ while he was in the military.”
Min also reflected on the hardships of her trainee years. “I was a JYP trainee for about six and a half years,” she recalled. “It was tough seeing people who joined after me debut and succeed while my debut kept getting postponed.” At one point, she considered quitting, returning to Korea, but eventually recommitted to her training. Min later joined Miss A, and within just two weeks of debut, the group took first place on a music show. “I couldn’t believe it when we won. All those years of effort flashed before my eyes,” she said emotionally.
Discussing her hit songs, Min expressed deep attachment to “Bad Girl Good Girl,” which she said helped form the team, while 'Hush' represented her personal peak. She also humorously revisited the lyrics of Miss A’s “I Don’t Need a Man”: “That’s totally wrong. I can’t live without a man,” she joked.
Despite her success, Min admitted she experienced burnout. “After the group disbanded, I couldn’t do anything for over two years. I had been running so hard that I needed time to care for my heart,” she shared. Nevertheless, she reflected positively, “Thanks to that time, I found myself and met someone wonderful.” She concluded by expressing her affection for fans, saying, “I hope I can perform with my members again someday.”
After dating for seven years, Min tied the knot with her non-celebrity businessman boyfriend last June.
