2NE1 member Park Bom has reposted a message she previously deleted, reigniting controversy surrounding her past drug-related allegations.
On March 5, Park Bom uploaded a photo on her social media along with the caption, “To. A letter to the people…”. The image showed a handwritten letter she had originally posted on March 3 but later deleted.
Earlier on March 3, Park Bom shared a lengthy handwritten message addressing the drug controversy that had surrounded her in the past. In the letter, she mentioned medication she had been prescribed to treat ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and expressed frustration over what she described as unfair accusations.
In her post, Park Bom claimed that fellow Sandara Park had been caught using drugs and that the situation had been covered up by portraying Park Bom as the offender instead. She also alleged that YG Entertainment, along with producer Yang Hyun Suk, producer Teddy Park, and fellow 2NE1 member CL, had reported to authorities that she used more than the prescribed amount of medication, despite her claim that she had not used drugs in nearly 30 years. “I’m writing this because it feels like my soul is crying,” she wrote.
As the post spread rapidly online and sparked controversy, a source close to Park Bom stated that the situation occurred while she was in an unstable health condition and asked for public understanding. Park Bom deleted the post roughly two hours after it was uploaded.
The following day, Sandara Park addressed the accusations directly on her own social media. “I have never used drugs. I hope she recovers her health,” she wrote. However, fans also noticed that Sandara Park had unfollowed Park Bom on social media, prompting speculation about a rift between the two former groupmates.
Sandara Park’s side later firmly denied the allegations, stating that the claims regarding drug use were “completely untrue.” Although the controversy appeared to settle after the original post was deleted, concerns have resurfaced after Park Bom reposted the same message.
Meanwhile, Park Bom suspended her activities in August last year due to health issues. At the time, her agency stated that the decision was made after medical professionals advised that she needed sufficient rest and stability.
