Anticipation is rising following the release of new still cuts from 'Canvas of Blood,' starring Kim Nam Gil and Park Bo Gum.
On February 10, Plus M Entertainment unveiled official still images of the two actors from the upcoming film 'Canvas of Blood' (directed by Jang Hoon) through its social media channels, immediately drawing attention from movie fans.
'Canvas of Blood' is inspired by Mongyudowondo, a renowned ink and color painting created by Grand Prince Anpyeong, the third son of King Sejong of Joseon. The artwork depicts a beautiful yet mysterious dreamlike landscape. The film tells the story of two brothers, ‘Suyang’ and ‘Anpyeong,’ who begin to dream of different paradises after the painting, 'Canvas of Blood,' is completed.
Back in 2016, the project first made headlines with reports that actors Cho Jin Woong, Sul Kyung Gu, and Oh Dal Su were in talks to star, but production was halted at the time. Now newly restructured, 'Canvas of Blood' features Kim Nam Gil, Park Bo Gum, and Lee Hyun Wook in leading roles, already generating buzz for their striking visual chemistry.
Meanwhile, the film is helmed by director Jang Hoon, known for the ten-million-admissions hit 'A Taxi Driver' (2017), further heightening expectations for the project.
