IVE is making a comeback in Japan, building anticipation with the early release of a B-side track.
On April 3, Starship Entertainment announced, “IVE has pre-released ‘Fashion,’ a track from their fourth Japanese album ‘LUCID DREAM,’ today.”
“Fashion” carries a message about taking a step forward to face a new version of oneself. The song highlights IVE’s signature positive energy, elevated by their diverse vocal colors.
The track was also selected as the campaign song for Apple App Store’s “Every Step, With the App Store” campaign, and has been featured in TV commercials and advertisements across Japan since March 30.
This marks IVE’s first comeback in approximately 10 months. The group previously released their third Japanese EP, “Be Alright,” in July last year, which topped two Oricon weekly charts.
“LUCID DREAM” will include a total of four tracks: “Fashion,” along with Japanese versions of “REBEL HEART,” “ATTITUDE,” and “Thank U.”
The agency stated, “With the pre-release of a B-side track, IVE has already hinted at their unique concept and musical identity, further heightening anticipation for the upcoming album.”
IVE debuted in Japan in 2022 and has steadily achieved success. Their song “After LIKE” has surpassed 200 million cumulative streams on Billboard Japan.
They have also made their mark on major music events, including last year’s Rock in Japan Festival, and appeared on programs such as NHK’s 'Venue 101' and TBS’s 'Sore Snow Man ni Yarasete Kudasai.'
Meanwhile, IVE will officially release 'LUCID DREAM' on May 27. The group will also continue their world tour with concerts at Kyocera Dome Osaka on May 18 and 19.
