Actor Jung Eun Woo tragically passed away at the age of 40.
The sudden news of his death was reported on February 11. The exact cause has not been disclosed, in accordance with the family’s wishes. The funeral is being held at the New Goryeo Hospital Funeral Hall, Room 2, in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, with the procession scheduled for February 13 at 12:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Byeokje Crematorium.
Just one day before his passing, Jung Eun Woo posted a brief message on Instagram saying, “Missed, envious, regrettable,” along with photos of Hong Kong actor Leslie Cheung, British singer Amy Winehouse, and himself. Both Cheung and Winehouse were stars who died young, leading fans to speculate that this post may have been his final message, adding to the sense of sorrow surrounding his passing.
Jung Eun Woo debuted in 2006 through KBS’s youth drama 'Rounding Off Season 3.' He went on to appear in popular dramas including 'H.I.T,' 'Bride of the Sun,' 'One Well-Raised Daughter,' and 'My Only One.' His final film, 'Memory' (2021), will remain his last work.
