Sibling duo AKMU, comprised of Lee Chan Hyuk and Lee Su Hyun, has signaled a new beginning following their departure from YG Entertainment, and a long-awaited return with their fourth full-length album.
On February 23, AKMU shared a single Polaroid photo on their official social media accounts without any caption or explanation. The image shows Lee Chan Hyuk and Lee Su Hyun standing side by side, with the words “4th Album” written at the bottom, drawing keen attention from fans.
The post has fueled speculation that the duo is preparing for a comeback. However, no further details about the release have been disclosed.

AKMU’s last studio album was their third full-length record, Sailing, released in 2019.
In December last year, the duo concluded their 12-year partnership with YG Entertainment. They have since established a new agency called Inspiration’s Well, a name that also reflects exhibitions Lee Chan Hyuk held in 2023 and 2025.
AKMU first rose to fame after winning Season 2 of K-pop Star in 2013. They subsequently signed with YG Entertainment and made their official debut the following year, going on to release hit songs such as “200%” and “How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You’re the One I Love.”
