Actor Jo Jung Suk announced that he will be taking a short break from YouTube activities as he embraces life as a father of two.
On January 19 KST, Jo Jung Suk shared a handwritten letter via his YouTube channel Cheonggyesan Daengi Records, thanking viewers for their continued support. In the letter, he expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you sincerely to everyone who always watches and supports my videos. Thanks to you, we’ve reached 500,000 subscribers.”
He continued, “Just as joyful as reaching 500,000 subscribers, I have another piece of happy news to share. Another great happiness has arrived—Daengi has a younger sibling.” With this, Jo Jung Suk personally revealed the birth of his second child.
Explaining his temporary absence, he wrote, “For the time being, it may be difficult to upload videos regularly due to childcare. I’ll take a very short break and return as soon as possible. When I do, I think I’ll be able to share even more fun and different stories than before.”
Earlier, news had already surfaced that Jo Jung Suk had become a father of two. On January 14, his agency Jam Entertainment confirmed, “Jo Jung Suk and Gummy welcomed their second daughter on this day. Both the mother and baby are healthy and recovering peacefully with the love and care of their family.”
The agency added, “We ask for warm support and blessings so that the child may grow up surrounded by love, and we appreciate all the encouragement sent to Jo Jung Suk and Gummy as they welcome a new member to their family.”
Jo Jung Suk and Gummy married in 2018 after five years of dating. They welcomed their first daughter in 2020, and six years later, they have now welcomed their second daughter.
