Han So Hee met with reporters at a cafe in Jongno Gu, Seoul, on January 16 to discuss her upcoming film, 'Project Y'. Directed by Lee Hwan, the film features Mi Seon, played by Han So Hee, and Do Gyeong, played by Jeon Jong Seo, who plan a heist to steal black money and gold bars in a glamorous city. The movie is scheduled to be released on January 21. During the interview, Han So Hee discussed the social media controversies that have surrounded her, providing a detailed perspective on her recent experiences.
The actor discussed the 'transit dating' scandal that occurred in 2024 during a trip with Ryu Jun Yeol. The issue was sparked by a social media post from his former partner, Hyeri, which read 'That’s interesting.' Han So Hee responded at the time by stating 'I find it interesting, too,' while clarifying that there was no overlapping relationship, a point she later detailed in a blog post. She also addressed allegations regarding a secondary account used to post malicious comments about Hyeri, a suspicion that gained traction because her close friend Jeon Jong Seo followed the account. While her agency denied the claims, the actor faced significant public criticism during the process.
Regarding these persistent issues, Han So Hee stated that she feels no sense of unfairness and believes she must accept the public's scrutiny. She explained that as an actor who receives immense attention and is often described as 'iconic,' she feels a duty to ensure her words are persuasive. She acknowledged that it is impossible for everyone to like her, noting that if she constantly questioned 'why' people feel a certain way without accepting it, she would fail to evolve. She expressed that she now views public feedback as a tool for self-analysis, helping her identify which areas to be cautious about and how to improve herself.
The conversation also turned to her personal blog, which has been inactive since April last year. Known for her sincere writing, Han So Hee explained that the long hiatus was partly due to her active communication through live broadcasts, which left her with little to write about. She confessed that she often turns to her blog when feeling a sense of 'stuffiness' or when questioning if she truly deserves the love she receives. While her posts often consist of checking on fans' health, she revealed plans to resume blogging soon for the supporters who miss her updates. She concluded the interview by stating that despite the hurdles, she hopes to remain an actor people enjoy watching.
