Former AOA member Kwon Mina has personally spoken up about her recent situation.
On January 11, she reactivated her Instagram to explain why her upcoming fan meeting was canceled.
Mina was scheduled to hold her first-ever solo fan meeting on January 23. However, it was canceled due to her health. She wrote, "I am not fully recovered physically or mentally yet. I am trying my best to get better". She apologized to fans, saying she was sorry for missing this opportunity to meet them and promised that refunds are being processed. However, she also made a significant promise to change her online behavior. "I will try to fix myself and make an effort to stop causing shock and hurt through emotional outbursts or extreme posts on SNS," she vowed.
She also corrected recent news reports that claimed her agency was taking strong legal action against malicious commenters. She clarified that no lawsuits are happening right now. "Honestly, I don't have the mental strength or energy to do that right now," she confessed. However, she noted that she is collecting evidence of cruel comments and might take action later if it becomes too much to handle.
She ended with a plea to those leaving bad comments: "If you hate me, please just stop paying attention to me". She also promised to try her best to avoid making emotional posts in the future.
