The long wait is almost over. The massive project uniting superstars Song Hye Kyo and Gong Yoo with legendary writer Noh Hee Kyung has finally finished filming.
The drama is currently known by two potential titles. While it has been referred to as 'Show Business', the literal translation of its Korean working title is 'Slowly and Intensely' (Cheoncheonhi Gangryeolhage). The official English title has not been finalized yet.
On January 10, Song Hye Kyo announced the end of the journey by posting a black-and-white photo on her social media showing four worn-out scripts, accompanied by the caption: "'Slowly and Intensely', the last commute". The image highlighted the intense effort put into the project over the past year.
The project, a Netflix Original Series, boasts a reported budget of over 75.3 billion KRW (approx. 57 million USD). Filming for the 22-episode series began in January 2025 and took a full year to complete.
The drama is set in the Korean entertainment industry during the 1960s and 80s, depicting the passion and struggles of people dreaming of success. The casting is spectacular, featuring Gong Yoo, Kim Seol Hyun, Cha Seung Won, and Lee Ha Nee alongside Song Hye Kyo.
This series is particularly significant as it marks Song Hye Kyo's third collaboration with writer Noh Hee Kyung, following their masterpieces 'The World That They Live In' (2008) and 'That Winter, the Wind Blows' (2013).
