
Actor Lee Yi Kyung, who recently filed a lawsuit against individuals spreading rumors about his private life, is set to appear in the Japanese drama ‘DREAM STAGE.’
The TBS Friday drama ‘DREAM STAGE’ is set in the world of K-pop and follows a disgraced producer and seven Korean trainees as they form a powerful bond across generations and nationalities while chasing their dreams. The cast includes Nakamura Tomoya, Ha Yeon Soo, Lee Yi Kyung, and Kim Jae Kyung.

Lee Yi Kyung plays Choi Ki Yong, the head of major music agency Bouquet Music, which manages multiple K-pop stars. As the dark mastermind determined to push rookie boy group Toriner to the top by any means necessary, Lee Yi Kyung is expected to raise the tension with his intense performance.
Lee Yi Kyung previously gained attention for his role as the notorious husband Park Min Hwan in the tvN series ‘Marry My Husband,’ which was also remade in Japan. He later impressed viewers with his chilling portrayal of hidden villain Han Woo Jin in KBS2’s ‘Face Me.’ With a career spanning dramas, variety shows, and even music, anticipation is high to see what Lee I Kyung will bring to his first Japanese drama.
TBS’s ‘DREAM STAGE’ will air in January 2026 in the network’s Friday 10 p.m. drama slot.
